Mission accomplished. When our couples tell us that taking pictures is fun, we know we’ve done a good job. Your wedding day is supposed to be fun and relaxed, not forced or awkward! |
Set up expectations
As you prepare for your wedding, there are a few things that you can do to get ready. I highly recommend sitting down together and browsing through some of our other recent weddings. This will allow you both to align your expectations and get a preview of what your day will be like. Taking photos can be an awkward thing to do, but it really helps to just lean into the awkward. Laugh about it! Talk about it! And then before you know it, you’ll be having a total blast. |

Remember to have patience with one another and give each other grace. We want to also encourage you that we will be guiding you every step along the way, we won’t just stand back and snap away. We will prompt you on how to interact with each other, your wedding parties and families, direct you on what to do with your hands and body, chit chat with you, and say inappropriate things to get you to giggle. Our ultimate goal is to help you feel like a natural! |

Give us all your requests!
Every wedding is different and every client is different. If you have wants, needs, ideas, want to do a first look in a dinosaur outfit, want photos of food (something we don't usually do!), or have any other requests, we want to know ASAP! |
Don't keep secrets...
If you are planning any surprises for your guests, for your future spouse, for your wedding party, or for anyone that day, we need to know ahead of time so we can be prepared to capture it perfectly. |
Keep us in the loop!
Be sure to Involve us early in the planning process! Decisions like ceremony start time, getting ready locations, etc. will have a major impact on your photos. Clear and open communication from the start allows us to meet and exceed your expectations. |
Do you want any props?
Feel free to check them out here and let us know what you like! They are free to use unless specified otherwise. While the props are fun, we recommend limiting yourself to 2-3, otherwise ALLLLL your photos are of props and it takes away from you two! |

The best advice we can give is- add cushion time!
Sometimes the simplest things can take an extra 20 minutes, and before you know it, the whole morning is thrown off. We have seen “getting dressed” take almost 40 minutes because of a button malfunction or difficulties with lacing a dress. It is a smart idea to add an extra 10 minutes here and there so that we all have some wiggle room. Keep in mind that not everything will go as planned, and we promise this is completely normal. We will always be flexible, adapt, and make it work!
Hiring a videographer too? Something to keep in mind is that with a videographer, we will each need time to get shots as we can’t always shoot at the same time as each other, so that adds to the total time needed for your photo/video coverage.

Within 48 hours of your wedding, we will send you 3-5 sneak peeks to share with your friends and family and use to update your profile photos! Once we have almost completed your gallery, we will reach out with an update!
Images are delivered via our online gallery service, ShootProof, but we will also send over some fun thank you goodies in the mail! In addition to your photos, you will also receive a print release. This release can be presented at any printing establishment as most require a release to print professional photographs. When you receive your gallery, we highly recommend that you immediately save and backup the image files- it is your responsibility to permanently retain the images. Please also note that the image gallery has an expiration date after which the photos will no longer be available. If for any reason you need to access the photos again after the gallery has expired, we charge a gallery re-upload fee.
