Travel Fees
Mileage is included for all of California, however any weddings requiring overnight stays will require additional fee to cover accommodations and expenses.
Travel Time
Please make sure to keep travel time in mind when looking at packages. This can include travel time from getting ready locations to photo locations and to more than one venue. We remain "on the clock" for travel time.
Date Holds
Once we send you your quote, we place a 15 day soft hold on your wedding date. If another potential client inquires about hiring us for the same date, we will reach out to you to confirm before moving forward with the other client. Your quote also expires the same date as the date hold, so you may be subject to new rates/discount changes if they come into effect after the quote expires. Once this date hold expires, the date is once again open on a first come, first served basis for all potential clients.
Holiday Rates
An additional $400/hr is applied to wedding/photo shoots on Memorial Day Weekend (Friday-Monday), Independence Day, Labor Day Weekend (Friday-Monday), and the Friday after Thanksgiving. We do not accept weddings/photo shoots July through mid September (due to heat exhaustion), Thanksgiving Day, December 10-30, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
Planner Policy
We require that our clients hire a coordinator/planner, for any weddings at or above 50 guests. Any coordinators/planners we work with must be insured and own their own business- friends helping out and venue coordinators are not sufficient. Why do we require this? Well there are many moving parts that go into planning and hosting a large event like a wedding. Things will change, go wrong, and need extra assistance/expertise, and you will not want to be putting out those fires yourself while also trying to host and get married all at the same time. Our past experiences have shown that if there is no coordinator present, we end up having to take on this role in addition to being photographers. This ultimately takes away time from our primary job: taking amazing photos! We can’t be in multiple places at once, so if something important needs to be set up, torn down or taken care of while we are taking photos, you want to make sure you are in capable hands with a professional planner/coordinator who can take care of all these details. That way, we can focus on our job, and you can focus on enjoying your wedding!
Permit/Parking/Admission Fees
Some photo session locations and even venues require entrance, parking, and/or permit fee(s). If your location requires a permit, we will contact the appropriate parties to secure the permit. You will be responsible to either pay for or reimburse us for any and all fees incurred for your photo session. Admission and permit fees are also due at the contract signing before the final balance is due so that we can secure admission and permit asap for your shoot or wedding.
Beach Lighting
Getting married at the beach or planning your engagement session there? Please make sure you like the style of photos we take at the beach! They are often very different from photos taken at locations with trees or buildings, as there is usually no shade to work with. They are bright, light-filled, soft and romantic, but they are a style that may not be for everyone. See this link to see more and hopefully you love them just like we do!
