Do you shoot more than just suites?
Yes! See this page here, there is a heading titled "What I Shoot" that spells everything out! What is required to book you? A signed contract and retainer! Whenever you are ready to go forward, let me know and I will send over a form for you to fill out providing me with all your info. Then I will prepare the contract/invoice and email them for signature! Will you send the suites/items back? Yes! I just request if you would like your suites back that you send a pre-paid self addressed label with your package of suites or I can invoice you for the return. What are your rates? Investment information here! Don't see your particular item listed? Email me! Can I just send one suite/item to try this out? I have s 3 suite (or $420) minimum for my one time contract. Contract types here! Do you offer a bulk discount? Unfortunately I don’t offer a bulk discount per se as this is precision work and every suite is lots of work to set up, shoot and edit. But you are more than welcome to start small and slow or do the yearly contract where there is a small discount for booking with the larger retainer up front and the rates are locked in for a year. The yearly contract is a 15 suite (or $2,520) minimum and normally 15 suites is $2,700, so there is a discount. How many photos will I get? It ranges from 5-20+. Why such a huge range? There is such a huge variety in what I receive! A full suite will have lots more photos as I take details, side angles, photos of each card on its own etc. And a save the date or singular calligraphy envelope will have just a few varieties of shots. Click here to view typical shot lists for all kinds of things! Is there any way to get somewhat of a guarantee of closer to 20 photos per suite instead of 5? No guarantee but generally if a suite is detailed enough there will be lots of photos. 5 is the minimum because some suites are literally just flat printed text and paper and two pages. So there isn’t much to shoot there. But feel free to take a look at my full galleries to see examples of suites with wax seals, foil details, etc What is your photo turnaround time? It totally depends on how busy I am. Usually my turnaround from receiving suites/items to delivered images is 1 week but I set a maximum of around 10 weeks for when I have a huge queue or client weddings to edit first. But so far I have never taken longer than 10 weeks. A guaranteed quick turnaround is also available for a rush fee just let me know. What is the rush fee? $30 per suite/item. However if I already have 2 clients with rush orders in my queue, the fee increases to $60 per suite/item. Feel free to inquire to see what the current rush fee is! How does payment work? You can do check or credit card. For credit card, a retainer is required. For checks, payment is due in full at the time of booking. I used to also use the 50/50 method with checks but changed my policy when it took weeks and weeks to receive payment after a gallery was delivered. |
How does it work with photo rights/credits?
I am the copyright holder and as with any sharing of work owned by someone else, everything needs credit if posted on socials. I realize it is tougher on websites and third party sites like Etsy but I appreciate if some effort can be made to credit there as well. This is all spelled out thoroughly in the contract but I'm happy to send that clause ahead of time for you to read. Please note that any work I create for you cannot be edited or altered in anyway with the exception of blurring text for client privacy, and even then I must give approval via your contract. The work I do for you also cannot be used as client mockups for new designs. Please inquire if you would like me to create your own custom mockups for you! Do you blur addresses/private info? I used to, but found that everyone had a different preference on how they wanted it to look (blurred vs. removing entirely etc). So to streamline things I do grant permission in my contract for client addresses/websites to be blurred if necessary to protect privacy. That is the only image editing that is permitted. Can I photoshop your images to make my own mockups to showcase new designs? Nope, sorry! That is definitely not part of your image use. But I do also create custom mock ups with blank cards for you to drop in designs. The process is pretty much the same as photographing actual client work except I require blank cards (to get the scaling of the pieces accurate!) and lots more direction on styling/colors/vibe. Please inquire about my process and pricing for those. Do we need to provide any type of shot list? I have a typical ones you can view here but please be sure to specify anything additional you would like to highlight! Do you put together any sort of mockup to show what layout and styling you plan to use once you receive the paper good from me? I can! But keep in mind that means I would be doing twice the work— setting up a mock up, taking photos, sending for later approval, and then setting up again to photograph for the final time) so I would charge double the price. Can I send along extra props (ribbon, stamps, etc.)? Sure! Keep in mind I have a TON of stuff but I so appreciate already attached stamps so envelopes (I love when they are curated in the right colors!) and specific ribbon if it was used to tie up suites, etc. Can we have input on the styling/specific props? You can definitely give me a vibe (romantic, modern, etc.) color ideas, including silver, gold or rose gold, and preferable surface color! I love all the input you can give whether that be matching the suite or the vibe/colors of your brand. Otherwise, I will just do my thing! I am totally open to doing something really specific, but if there are any props/styling requests that require me to buy extra materials then I will need to pass on the additional cost to you. Can you tell me more about your creative process, why you style the way you do? My process is to go off the vibe and colors in the invites and style from there. But I happily take requests on any styling notes you have. You can tell me as much as you like (from colors, vibe of the wedding, photos of the couple, styling mat colors etc.) to as little as you like (just do your thing girl, lol). I don’t have a menu of props or anything for people to browse through so it is a bit of a surprise but it’s not outrageously a surprise as I use a lot of the same things you see in my other work. But I am also constantly hunting for and buying new styling supplies. I have some clients that only want light backgrounds, or no wedding rings/boxes with suites or only vertical shots and I am able to accommodate all of that just so as long as I know ahead of time. |
