Details/Getting Ready
1.5-2 hours Your big day begins with the details! You’ll want to remember all the pretty things you picked out for this day (like grandma’s jewelry) and the shoes that might not be seen. We take extra care to style these shots to match the overall vibe and colors of your wedding- we always bring ribbon, ring boxes, and other small touches to make your detail photos shine. |
Travel Time
15-90 minutes The most common travel time in your timeline is from the getting ready location to the venue, but there may be travel to multiple locations throughout the day. Be sure to add some buffer time for traffic when planning out your timeline. |
First Look
15 Minutes (tops!) This is one of our favorite parts of the day! With two photographers, you get thorough coverage of this lovely moment. It takes a few minutes to set up a few shots and angles, then the rest of the time we capture candids as you two celebrate seeing each other for the first time on your big day! We encourage large bear hugs, sweet hand- holding and lots and lots of kisses! |
Wedding Party Photos
45 Minutes We will start with the whole group together (taking some posed shots and as many fun, candid shots as we can!) and then split up: Tim takes portraits of one side and Marisa the other! HOT TIP: The best way to stay on schedule is to have someone (your planner, florist, or we can jump in, too!) pin any boutoniérres on before the first look. Anyone who will be holding a bouquet should make sure to bring it with them to the photo spot. |
Newlywed Portraits
45-60 Minutes If we are being honest, all of the wedding day images are important, but your portraits are definitely top of the list. These photos are ALWAYS our favorite, because they tell the story of your love, which is what brings your friends and family together that day! |
Set Up Details
30-45 Minutes It is important to set aside time on the schedule so we can capture these ceremony AND reception set up and room design details, because these are the things that get moved, disrupted, and/or changed around when guests arrive for the event. |
Ceremony
20-60 Minutes Ceremony timing totally depends on what type of ceremony you want to have! More about ceremonies here! |
Family Photos
20-60 Minutes The timing here depends on the size of your families! We kindly ask that you restrict family photos to immediate family (grandparents, parents, and siblings) but we realize that many people have complicated families. We will either interview you about your specific family needs or request you fill out our family information form, then we can build your custom shot list for your approval. We usually recommend doing the family photos right after the ceremony. |
Cocktail Hour
60 Minutes During cocktail hour, we will photograph your family and a few more newlywed photos (if timed right, at golden hour!) but otherwise we can do whatever you would like us to at golden hour! Including capturing some candids of your guests, more reception set up details or photos of you with your signature cocktails! |
Golden Hour Newlywed Photos
20-30 Minutes If you have a venue that has beautiful sunset light, we highly recommend taking at least 20-30 minutes to step outside with us and create some golden hour magic. I promise it is worth it! |
Reception
2-4 Hours Again, the timing here depends on your guest count and what you want captured at your reception. More about receptions here! |
